Humor me while I wax sentimental for a moment. We’re posting this session the day after Thanksgiving, our bellies are full, we’re comforted by the warmth of family and friends, it’s a solid time of the year, if you want to argue that, then you’re putz. In my family we always do the go around the table and say what you’re thankful for thing. It’s never a huge hit, but my cousin and my mom make sure we do it every year, no matter how half-assed some folks’ answers get (Pops, I’m not necessarily looking at you, but I’m not necessarily not looking at you). So in keeping with the tradition I’m going to share what I’m thankful for with all of you folks this year.
I’m thankful that I’m living in a time and a place where it’s encouraged to dream big. Where you can live in Los Angeles and play in a country-rock band. Where you can dress up in a bunny suit and sing punk music. Where you can drive around the country in a tripped-out RV and discover music. I’m thankful for all of the bands and all of the music and all of the amazing adventures that we’ve had so far along this ride. I’m thankful that we’re going to keep on doing it for quite some time to come. It’s our kind of crazy, and we’re going to share it with y’all for as long as we can. So from us to you, here’s some heady-ass country music from some heady-ass cats. You can thank us for it later.
